RHCA

Exam duration

There is no single RHCA exam; It is awarded automatically by stacking several separate performance-based exams, as there is no unified exam duration for the certificate as a whole.

Exam retake

One free retake of each individual exam upon failure on the first attempt; The rescheduling appears automatically in the scheduling application after the result of the first attempt is released (maximum of two attempts per exam, and thereafter is paid). Red Hat has not officially set a time limit for using free replay.

Certificate validity

3 years (remains “current” for 3 years from the date of grant, does not “expire” but rather becomes “invalid”; renewable; 5 eligible credits must be kept current to maintain the RHCA)
